Fastest way to make money? - Guild Wars Forums

I'm very poor at the moment and is in desperate need of money. My goal is to get as much money as I can so I can buy some tormented items and mini pets for my Hall of Monuments, then I can quit Guild wars and eagerly await for Guild wars 2.

If I were you I'd start out small. like selling althea's ashes in pikens. it used to be ALL the rage. many will love you and people will talk about you for years to come.

2-Do plenty of UW, FoW sc's before SF gets well.....destroyed
3-Make a 55 and sell unids

living in DoA, UW, and FoW will be the fastest way to progress. speed clear all day long. DoA runs for ur armbraces. UW for ectos to buy minis

I could suggest the same methods as in the previous posts but thats not really what you are looking for is it ?

yeah when the game came out remember selling char hides for 50g ea..

you could use your skills to come up.. do some runs- you'll see peeps who make money advertising their skills.. even something simple like running from gunthers to rata sum can net you some quick money.. fill the bus up and go- not sure if droks runs are profitable anymore, but that was 2-3k a person back in the day..

learn how to do those runs and you can rack up 100k a day early on pretty easy.. from there get your armor and complete the games.. do all the quests- you'd be surprised at how much you'll have just going through the games and gives you access to things.. like in elona they have a bunch of treasure chests http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Treasure you can run for free golds, and in gates 3k a pop for just opening them

selling here on guru will get you good money.. but it takes alot of time and dedication.. get ahold of these gifts every week http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nicholas_the_Traveler

it's like the lottery.. the xunlai house used to be how most came up (lazy bastards heheh) but that's gone.. if you get good you can start doing mission/dungeon runs and charging some good money- probably the fastest outside of power trading, crafting/selling.. not sure how in demand the mission market is anymore but the dungeons are really profitable

when you have a set of good characters who have access to all areas.. making money is so easy.. also during the holidays they have special quests/items you can sell.. they are usually very easy to get, sell them to power traders and sweet tooths.. like the second to last dhumm quest over holloween netted me over 500k- quick and easy uw runs and sold all the bags for 100 ectos last day of the event

whats nice about the holiday events too.. like this christmas, you'll have a shot at getting a christmas bear mini- it sells for insane guys water at the mouth for that bear.. at the same time your harvesting to sell your stacks of gifts.. there's other ways too like vanquishing areas- but whatever.. I'd rather have a end chest if gonna do that- chance to get something good

it's all a lottery.. increase your odds and at the same time reliable sources like running/trading will get your halls filled.. then of course there's the way I believe most people get their starting money.. but those guys usually end up in fow armor (they even pay to get to the crafter XD).. have like 6 outposts uncovered in game and quit- don't end up like these guys

farm some, then learn the market (ask some friends) and start power trading. at the start you will only get 5e a day with a starting point of 40e (in my expirience (sp?) but when you reach 200-250e you can make pretty huge amounts because you can afford more high end things.

armbraces, tormented waepons (str shield in particular) and voltaic spears is hard to go wrong with for beginners!
rather then spending your money on minis every time you can afford one, you just save up to about 40e and buy things from the profit they yield.

but yeah you have 1k, so that is a bit into the future

EDIT: 5e in a day is not accurate. 1 day for me will be 1-2 hours, whilst for some of you it might be less, and for alot of you its a hell of alot more

also, dont bother power trading in low end, with anything under 100k you will -in most cases- be better of farming pretty much anything because there isnt alot of people re buying low end weapons for much more than you bought them for

(by low end i mean greenies, tomes etc)

How to get tormented weapon?
Well the answer for me to you is, power trade.
How does this work exactly? Well you need first of all to make 10k and think small, dont go look at the high end trade forum those are the big players. They buy from each other only and they play since the game came out so dont dream of making such money in 4 days in what they have done in 4 years.
After you got 10k try to do the travaler quest, guve you about 15-25k profit depends if you farm or buy the items. You got 25-35k this is great! Do this every week. Now doesnt wait for events, you play in gw for fun not for events right? so when they come prepare for them buy deccay orr elmbels stack=9-14k, buy for 9k and sell for 14k. You can make profit of 5k on each

. Now If your really serious about this try to buy weapons and mini cheap, by cheap i mean e.g. buy jora for 30k unded and sell for 55k or buy beast of arghh for 30k and sell for 70k, you could make easy profit. Never be tempted to buy online gold, people who do that waste their time and life literaly. So you see its all about buying low and selling high. When you get 100k thats your limit, rule should be made that you never go under 100k.
When you get your first 100k start to pwoer trade, powertrade =profit of 100k or more on an item. Try to buy req 8 sheilds with -3 or -2 physical on them magmas, hunt etc... try to buy swords especially old schoool casters req 8. Buy minipets king or kuuvnang for 100k unded or less. Its all about buyin low and selling high, you dont have to do uw or fow to get all the goods. In these days the chance of getting a good team or getting doa team that can do it well is less rewardingf that a powertrade of 100k+ profit and i can tell ya my last power trade was storm daggers req 9 and magmas perfect req 8 that i made 200k+ profit on. I HIGHLY doubt you have EVER power traded any items at 100k (+) items. you will not find ANYONE in the game that will sell a unded kuunavang for
100k. nor will you make at least 100k from a single trade with 100k, except in the very few extremley rare cases. but i would say getting a unded dhuum is 100 times more likley than finding a q8 weapon you can make 100k of with 100k, or find someone selling a kuunavang for 100k.

Rocky please dont doubt me you dont know the money and items i have in my storage, btw magmas can got for 80-100k dependet on mods old school or insc asura can go for 70k -100k depending on the buyer will. Good luck...
